Lessons
I have passed on my lesson program to Eby Higdon. Eby has studied in Europe and Japan, giving lessons and working horses in both countries, along with having taught in America. Eby gives lessons to children and adults who have beginner to intermediate skills. Disciplines include dressage, huntseat, trail, beginner jumping along with horsemanship. Eby teaches pleasure riding with a lot of dressage principles. You will be able to go into the show ring or down the trail when you take lessons with Eby. I still teach a riding lesson once in a while and do give some basic driving lessons from time to time. When and if the students are ready, Eby will take them out on the trails. I feel riders need to experience trail riding as well as ring work to become well rounded riders. We pride ourselves on safety. Having very safe and reliable lesson horses/ponies.We work right from the start on how to safely handle and ride a horse. ASTM/SEI approved helmets are required for everyone under the age of 18 and are strongly suggested for those 18 and older. Sturdy shoes or boots with heels suitable for riding (no sneakers or sandals!) are also required.
Lessons -$30.00 an hour When Eby has the time, she may travel to your farm to give a lesson if you live in the local area. Please add $10-$20.00 per lesson to the prices listed above. STUDENTS Some of my students have qualified for the WI State 4-H Horse show and received Top Tens. Some have received year end awards at local open horse shows, many have received either first place trophies and/or placings at local open horse shows, youth shows and the county fair. 2006 we will also be taking some students to a couple local dressage schooling shows. You do not have to be "into" going to horse shows, you can take lessons and just enjoy horse back riding! State winners, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007
